How to Apply: Step-by-Step
Follow this simple 6-stage roadmap to apply correctly and avoid application rejections.
Confirm Your Legal Name and Bank Account
Make sure you have an active Nigerian commercial bank account. The name on your application, your BVN, and your bank account must match exactly. If there are refunds or future dividend distributions, they will be paid directly into this account.
CSCS & Clearing House Number (CHN)
If you already trade NGX stocks through a broker, find your CHN and CSCS Account Number. If you do not have one, you can still apply! Under SEC rules, the Registrar will issue you a temporary RIN (Registrar Identification Number) to hold your shares safely.
Pick an Approved Electronic Channel (from page 187)
Retail investors must apply exclusively via one of the 55 approved electronic channels. You can use your bank portal (e.g. GTBank, Access, Stanbic, Providus, Lotus Bank), the NGX Invest Portal, fintech apps (Bamboo, Moniepoint, PiggyVest), or your stockbroker.
Fill Details & Pay in Full
Enter the number of shares (minimum 10 shares at ₦525.00 each = ₦5,250.00). Remember that the offer is payable in full on application. Have sufficient funds in your bank or wallet before clicking submit.
Save Your Application Receipt / Reference Number
Once submitted, download your electronic receipt and save your unique submission reference. This serves as your legal proof of subscription with the Issuing Houses.
Allotment, Refunds, and Listing on NGX
After the offer closes on 13 October 2026, the SEC approves the Basis of Allotment. Any unallotted monies will be refunded within 5 business days. Your CSCS account will be credited within 15 business days, after which official trading starts on NGX!
